|Cresskill Public Schools Announces Water Testing Results Updated July 26, 2016|
July 27, 2016
With the recent news across the nation and in our state alerting communities to the fact that lead has been found in drinking water, and in the interest of safety, the Cresskill School District authorized the voluntary testing of water in our schools on April 19, 2016 and second round of testing on June 2, 2016.
Yesterday we received the second round of results of our district wide water testing from Suburban Testing Labs/Karl Environmental Group which are posted below for review. The affected sources of water will not be made available again until the water has been re-tested and certified to be healthy. In the meantime, in conjunction with Cresskill’s Office of Emergency Management, the district is providing bottled water and water coolers as an alternative for drinking and cooking purposes.
The district is in the process of reviewing and implementing the recommendations for remediation provided by Karl Environmental Group. We will be continuing a full ongoing remediation plan to rectify the situation in each school.
